Stephanie Kress is an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has over 15 years of combined psychiatry and community outreach experience caring for adults and adolescents in a variety of settings and through philanthropic efforts.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Wesleyan University, as well as a Master of Social Work in Clinical Concentration from Norfolk State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. 

Stephanie’s clinical specialties include mood and anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, insomnia, ADHD, and post-traumatic stress. Stephanie also has a background as a licensed therapist and integrates evidence-based solution-focused and cognitive behavior therapy treatment strategies into practice. She is passionate about instilling hope and joining patients on their path to healing and wellness. 

Stephanie has a dual role as a prescriber and clinical outreach coordinator. She has a shared goal of providing safe, effective, patient-centered care, as well as building professional relationships in the community that will expand resources for optimal behavioral health outcomes. She is currently accepting patients ages 12+.

Stephanie also provides consultations for Interventional Medicine Services (Spravato and TMS). She is a Spravato REMS certified provider, and works in collaboration with the CMO and interventional psychiatry team to provide medical clearance, risk assessment, and measure symptom improvement during treatment course.  

Outside of the office, Stephanie enjoys the great outdoors, especially hiking, kayaking, and horseback riding, as well as spending quality time with her family, friends, and church. Stephanie has recently joined Global Smiles Foundation as a volunteer Registered Nurse and is excited to be a part of a mission team that helps children smile!
