About Kimia Rose
A-LPC-MHSP
Kimia Rose (she/her) is a psychotherapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity exploration, and difficulties with emotional regulation. She earned her master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from York University. Kimia is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology at Tennessee State University.
As a generalist clinician, Kimia supports clients with a broad range of emotional, relational, and life concerns. She believes therapy is not simply about reducing symptoms; it is also an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, explore meaning and purpose, and build a life that feels authentic. Grounded in an existential framework, her approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. She integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, emotion-focused therapy, internal family systems, psychodynamic approaches, and mindfulness, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs, values, and goals.
Having lived in Iran, Italy, Canada, and the United States, Kimia brings a multicultural perspective and a deep appreciation for the ways culture, family, identity, and life experiences shape emotional well-being. She strives to create an affirming environment where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and respected. Kimia can provide therapy in both English and Farsi.
Outside her clinical work, Kimia enjoys learning about different cultures, traveling, reading, and deepening her knowledge of philosophy and the human experience.
