Dr. Faith C. L. Roby is a certified preacher’s kid who just so happens to be a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Traumatologist, Substance Abuse Professional, and Adjunct Professor of Counselor Education & Family Studies. Dr. Roby has earned two undergraduate degrees in Christian Ministry and Psychology from Victory University (2011), two master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy (2016) and Christian Apologetics (2017) from Liberty University, and last but not least, a Doctor of Education in Community Care & Counseling: Traumatology (2024).

Dr. Roby truly believes that while you may come in broken, by faith, you can leave healed! Dr. Roby approaches therapy with her clients in a validating and collaborative manner. To effectively collaborate, Dr. Roby has a NOWALKING ON EGGSHELLS policy therapeutically. Wait a minute, Dr. Faith! What does a “no walking on eggshells” policy mean? This policy empowers clients to present what they may think are the “icky” parts of themselves without fear of being unrighteously judged in therapy. Dr. Roby will work to earn your trust, so have faith in me, yourself, and the process as part of your healing journey.

Dr. Roby specializes in treating trauma, complex PTSD, PTSD, mood disorders, emotion dysregulation, borderline personality disorder, anger issues, lack of assertiveness, family dysfunction, anxiety, Christian faith-based issues, faith-based substance use/addictions, sex abuse, stress, domestic violence, etc. Dr. Roby has trained in and utilizes DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), Prolonged Exposure, CPT (cognitive processing therapy), Phase 1 & 2 in Brainspotting, Bowen Family therapy, Gottman Level 1-2 & Treating Affairs & Trauma, Christian Integrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
