Joseph Simon is a board certified psychiatric mental-health nurse practitioner. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at Northeastern University, majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. He then went on to obtain his Master’s in Nursing at Vanderbilt University. There, he completed numerous clinical hours in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He also completed clinical hours learning and incorporating ABA techniques with children ages 5-10 years old.

Joseph previously worked in the community mental health setting where he treated children, adolescents, and adult patients. He has experience in treating a diverse collection of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, as well as mood disorders and trauma related symptoms.

Joseph uses an evidence-based approach, with a strong emphasis on motivational interviewing and patient centered care. He cares strongly that his patients feel heard at every visit and that they are given a voice in their treatment. Joseph is passionate about empowering his patients to achieve their goals and to be the very best versions of themselves.

Outside of the office, Joseph enjoys being outdoors, working on amateur crafts such as leather stamping and photography, spending time with his friends and family, as well as watching movies with his cat.
