Christopher holds a Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Alcorn State University. He has also worked with older adults experiencing a range of psychiatric conditions, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and other serious mental illnesses.
Christopher is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges while fostering resilience, personal growth, and emotional well-being. He believes that effective therapy is grounded in trust, empathy, and authentic human connection.
In addition to his clinical work, Christopher has an extensive research background focused on substance use and neurodegenerative disorders. His research has examined alcohol and drug addiction, including the neurobiological effects of substance use, as well as Alzheimer’s disease, aging, and cognitive decline. These experiences have deepened his understanding of the complex biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health and overall well-being.
A Louisiana native, Christopher values building meaningful relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. He is a strong advocate for mental health awareness and the LGBTQ+ community, believing that everyone deserves access to compassionate, affirming, and inclusive care. He is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to achieve their personal goals.
One of Christopher’s greatest strengths is his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
