Dana Bird is an LMSW (she/her) based in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She earned a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and an M.S. in Social Work from Western Kentucky University, graduating in 2017. Dana began her practice in 2026 and has since been dedicated to supporting individuals facing various mental health challenges.

Dana specializes in working with adults aged 25 and older, focusing on issues such as depression, anxiety, and dementia. She is particularly interested in the life transitions, those navigating perinatal and postpartum experiences, grief, and neurodivergence as well as supportive to the needs of the LGBTQ+ community. Her therapeutic approach incorporates solutions-focused strategies, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing, allowing her to tailor sessions to the unique needs of each client.

In her sessions, Dana emphasizes exploration and rapport-building, ensuring that clients feel heard and understood. She may assign “homework” for those who seek additional structure, but her primary goal is to create a safe space for clients to express their needs and desires in therapy. Dana’s compassionate nature stems from her lifelong inclination to help others.

Outside of her professional life, Dana enjoys engaging in home projects, reflecting her hands-on approach to both her work and personal interests.
