Julie Tressler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama in Child Development and Family Studies and a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois. Julie specializes in working with children and older adults.

After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, Julie worked as a teacher and felt drawn to educate parents and children and offer support. Through her master’s degree program, Julie developed her counseling skills and resources. She has experience in counseling individuals through chronic illness, cancer, grief, loss, and end-of-life transition.

Julie believes therapy is a collaborative process. She uses a warm, direct, and authentic approach to create a safe and supportive environment that invites patients to build insight and achieve balance. Julie uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to empower patients to accomplish their goals by using their strengths for change. Julie strives to be a source of motivation and commitment for patients as they navigate the ebb and flow of life.
